TECHNICAL SUPPORT GROUP is currently recruiting for a METALLURGICAL ENGINEER for an Edmonton based opportunity to work in an EPC/M environment.
Job Description:
- Performing engineering in all project phases of process design including: conceptual design, feasibility studies, front-end design, detail engineering process design and plant commissioning
- Preparing schedules and developing labour hour budgets
- Preparing heat and material balances
- Corrosion analysis
- Preparing equipment data sheets, instrumentation data sheets, equipments lists, line lists
- Developing PFDs and P&IDs
- Solid knowledge of welding and pressure vessels
- Participating in a variety of design reviews
- Supervising a group of junior and intermediate level process engineers
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering
- A minimum of 7 years engineering experience
- Strong planning, organizing, coordinating and decision making skills
- Ability to make formal presentations
- Ability to lead and delegate while fostering a collaborative work environment
- A combination of EPC and operating experience is an asset
