TECHNICAL SUPPORT GROUP is currently recruiting for a MECHANICAL LAYOUT DESIGNER (LEAD) for an opportunity to work in an EPC/M environment.
Job Description:
- Leading a team of Layout Designers to produce and maintain flow drawings
- Assisting with 3D plant model development, and General Arrangements for existing plant upgrades
- Providing departmental support tasks such as the maintenance and revision of equipment libraries, department standards and procedures and completely new facilities
- Making routine decisions and recommendations within established guidelines and procedures
- Coordinating with other disciplines to ensure a timely and accurate flow of design information, while ensuring departmental and client standards are maintained
- Coordinating & checking vendor equipment drawings
- Problem Solving & Decision Making
Job Requirements:
- College Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent
- 10+ to 15 years of experience
- Ability to read, understand, and produce mechanical drawings
- Solid understanding of Autocad, Microstation
- 3D experience required
- SmartPlant experience is preferred
- Willingness to Travel
