TECHNICAL SUPPORT GROUP is currently recruiting for a MATERIAL HANDLING MECHANICAL ENGINEER for an opportunity to work in an EPC/M environment.
Job Description:
- Basic design/specification and detailed design of mechanical systems and materials, technical selection, calculations, sizing and evaluation of conveyors, screens and crushers
- Providing Mechanical Engineering design support to multidiscipline teams on material handling
- Participating in project planning and execution
- Evaluating Vendor quotations for technical adequacy, budgetary constraints and Sustainable Plant Design considerations
- Compiling RFQs c/w specifications, scopes and data sheets
- Compiling or participating in construction work packages, including interdisciplinary reviews and P.Eng authentication
- Reviewing and approving Vendor documents
- Mentoring junior staff
- Leading small to mid-sized multidiscipline projects
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Registered with APEGGA as a P.Eng or eligible for registration
- A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in an EPC Industry environment
- Experience in potash (fry mining, solution mining, thermal evaporation) and Sidewinder Software, is an asset
- Demonstrated Lead roles in EPC environments is an asset
