TECHNICAL SUPPORT GROUP is currently recruiting for a RELIABILITY ENGINEER for an opportunity to work in an EPC/M environment.

 Job Description:

  • Providing maintenance engineering support and working closely with the client reliability and maintenance team to ensure the best practice is maintained during the development of maintenance strategies.
  • Working with the computerized maintenance management team to develop the criticality ranking of equipment.
  • Reviewing criticality ranking of equipment once handed over by the maintenance team.
  • Assisting the Operations & Maintenance Manager with the development and delivery of maintenance systems.
  • Assessing of equipment and alignment to the relevant client specification.
  • Risk assessing of potential equipment failure
  • Assisting the client organization with the development of maintenance and reliability activities
  • Assisting the client with the development of maintenance strategies as per the relevant specification.
  • Working with the overall project engineering team to understand design and maintenance that may be required.
  • Facilitating risk review sessions with client and company personnel to assess equipment operating risks.
  • Facilitating review sessions with client and company personnel to assess potential maintenance routines.
  • Re-assigning and developing equipment strategies and equipment design.
  • Developing maintenance strategies on a facility wide approach to consolidate maintenance routines.
  • Providing recommendations to client personnel on the best way to approach specific maintenance.
  • Working within the client organization using client system and processes

 Job Requirements:

  • Completion of Red Seal Inter Provincial or Alberta Proficiency apprenticeship or equivalent
  • 2-5 years experience as a maintenance technician of plant equipment
  • Degree or advanced diploma in engineering is an advantage
  • Strong technical background
  • Good planning and maintenance implementation procedures
  • Understanding of equipment criticality ranking and assessments
  • Good understanding of maintenance systems
  • Able to understand and follow client specifications
  • Understanding of risk assessment processes
  • Ability to motivate and work well with cross functional teams
  • Previous experience on Oil Sands projects is an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
