TECHNICAL SUPPORT GROUP is currently recruiting for a PROCUREMENT MANAGER for an Alberta based opportunity.

Job Description:

• Responsible for the Project Procurement Department
• Responsible for purchasing, expediting, logistics and traffic, material control, subcontracting, quality surveillance and warehousing.
• Ensuring the timely execution of all procurement, contracting and materials control activities including staff management, budgeting, scheduling, and integrating home office and site activities.
• Working with multiple business unit leadership teams to identify and attain strategic objectives.
• Providing senior level support in the development of project execution plans, budgets, and propos.
• Establishing Project Procurement and Contract Procedures and Processes using the client’s approved Procurement and Contracting Procedures. If the client has procedures and processes, the Project Procurement Manager or Lead will integrate client requirements into the client’s approved procedures.

Job Requirements:

• 10 years of experience in the Oil and Gas Industry
• Proven procurement/contracts experience in an engineering, procurement and project/construction management environment
• Proven experience interfacing with all engineering disciplines, procurement disciplines, contract disciplines, material control disciplines, fabricators and field disciplines
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in procurement and contracts, coupled with at least five years’ experience in a lead role/supervising
