TECHNICAL SUPPORT GROUP is currently recruiting for a PROCESS ENGINEER for an Edmonton based opportunity to work in an EPC/M environment.

 Job Responsibilities

• Review and understand scope of work, project specifications, design instructions and supplier information
• Create Construction Work Packages in accordance with the client’s drafting standards and  document control requirements
• Problem solving with interoffice, client and vendor issues before involving the department management team
• Assisting Management with completing administrative functions
• Act as a mentor to department employees
• Assist with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) programs
• May assist or be in control of employee orientation activities
• Involvement of project risk assessment process
• Create quality control activities, project quality plan and monitor project quality assurance
• Recommend quality improvements

Qualifications

• Successful candidate must have the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills is an asset
• B.Sc. or M.Sc in Chemical Engineering from an institution accredited by the Accreditation Board, Engineers Canada
• Registered as a P.Eng with APEGGA
• A minimum of 5+ years relevant industry experience in the Canadian EP/EPC/EPCM consulting industry
• Knowledge and experience with Process Design and Oil Sands hydraulic process experience is an asset.
• Leadership experience is desired
• Must have experience using AFT Fathon software
