TSG STAFFING SERVICES is currently recruiting for a HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER for an opportunity in the Edmonton Area in a manufacturing plant environment. This is a temporary, maternity leave position.
Job Description:
- Responsible to initiating and managing the recruitment process
- Create job offers and negotiate contracts for new hires
- Facilitate appropriate pre-employment testing as required
- Conduct exit interviews and performance management conversations as required
- Maintain and administer training programs for new hires
- Handle employee requests for leave and other benefits
- Address employee concerns and issues and investigate complaints
- Ensure compliance with labour law standards
- Other admin tasks within HR as needed
Job Requirements:
- 10+ years of HR experience
- HR experience in heavy industrial or trade settings is an asset
- Knowledge of core tasks like recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, storing employee data and addressing complaints
- Proficiency in commonly used HR software
- Conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Canadian labour laws and regulations
