Asset Integrity Inspector

TSG STAFFING SERVICES is currently recruiting for an ASSET INTEGRITY INSPECTOR to support a permanent, owner-site role for a Medicine Hat area-based opportunity to work in an operating plant environment. 

Job Description: 

  • Act as the owner’s representative for inspection and asset integrity activities at a single operating facility
  • Support owner-side integrity programs, including equipment rerates, risk-based assessments, and fitness-for-service evaluations.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities on pressure equipment and related systems.
  • Perform hands-on, field-based inspections of pressure equipment, piping systems, and fabrication/repair work in accordance with applicable API, ASME, CSA codes, Jurisdictional requirements, and the site Pressure Equipment Integrity Manual (PEIM)
  • Conduct QA/QC inspections, verify documentation, and track deficiencies to closure.
  • Communicate technical findings and recommendations effectively to stakeholders, engineers, operations, and inspection teams.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on inspection methodology, code compliance, and equipment integrity.

Job Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Red Seal mechanical trade background (Millwright, Pipefitter, or equivalent)
  • 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably in QA/QC or asset integrity roles at owner-operated sites.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly for an owner/operator site or embedded as the owner’s representative
  • Strong knowledge and experience applying PEIM on owner-site projects.
  • Active API 510 Pressure Vessel Inspector and CWB Welding Inspector (Level 1 or 2) certification.
  • Additional certifications such as National Board, API 570, API 580, API 653 are an asset. 
  • Proven ability to communicate technical information to stakeholders, engineers, and operations personnel.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with integrity software is a plus.
  • Must live within 60 km of site or willing to relocate.
