Millwright Maintenance Lead

TSG STAFFING SERVICES is currently recruiting for a MILLWRIGHT MAINTENANCE LEAD for an Edmonton area-based opportunity. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity.

Job Description:

• Managing a crew of millwrights and other maintenance personnel while ensuring compliance of all company and legislated safety codes and practices.
• Managing and leading scheduled shutdowns while developing a preventative maintenance culture within the team.
• Responsible for meeting the daily long-term maintenance needs of the operations, such as ensuring timely repair of all mechanical equipment in the designated area, identifying root cause and implementing corrective action on failures for continuous improvement.
• Development of area maintenance systems, procedure development, PM development and condition-based maintenance.
• Identifying areas for improvement, developing and initiating projects to address these.
• Mentor and enforce safe work practices.
• Manage employee attendance and performance.

Job Requirements:

• Journeyperson Millwright certification OR a diploma/degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).
• 5+ years of supervisory/leadership experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or processing environment.
• Experience with a CMMS.
• Able to organize, set priorities and work to meet tight deadlines.
• Positive, team-based attitude with an eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Sound judgment and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
