Contractor Management Coordinator

TSG STAFFING SERVICES is currently recruiting for a CONTRACTOR MANAGEMENT COORDINATOR for an Edmonton area-based opportunity to work in an operating plant environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced industrial field professional with strong contractor management, maintenance, turnaround, and project coordination experience. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting contractor onboarding, workforce verification, field assessments, and contractor resource coordination while working closely with maintenance, projects, outage, turnaround, and site security teams to ensure safe and effective execution of work.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Supporting the contractor requisition process
• Verifying contractor worker certifications and ISN individual status
• Coordinating contract resources to site
• Supporting competency assessment verification
• Strengthening contractor relationships and communication between site stakeholders
• Working closely with trade coordinators and job owners to ensure required contractor resources are requisitioned and verified before arrival on site
• Collaborating with site contractors and site security to facilitate contractor mobilization and site access
• Supporting Projects, Maintenance, Outage, and Turnaround teams in understanding and delivering resource requirements
• Verifying contractor certifications and ISN compliance requirements
• Conducting field assessments and supporting contractor credential verification initiatives
• Supporting the safe and cost-effective utilization of contractor resources across the site
• Working independently while collaborating with multiple departments to identify and coordinate future resource requirements

Must have:

• 10+ years of experience working as a Field Supervisor, Field Coordinator, or similar role within a large industrial, petrochemical, refinery, chemical, or heavy industrial facility
• Proven turnaround/shutdown experience
• Strong maintenance background with a customer-focused approach to supporting operations and project teams
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary contractor and trade resources in a large industrial setting
• Strong understanding of contractor management, workforce mobilization, and credential verification processes
• Experience working with both union and non-union trades personnel
• Good understanding of project planning and scheduling practices
• Proficiency with SAP, ISN, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Knowledge of site safety programs, OH&S requirements, and environmental regulations
• Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability and capacity to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple site departments
• Ability to work a 4/10 schedule with additional overtime during turnarounds and outages

Nice to have:

• Journeyman trade certification
• Experience within fertilizer, chemical, petrochemical, refinery, or oil and gas operations
• Previous experience supporting contractor onboarding or contractor management programs
• Experience conducting field competency assessments and verification activities
• Knowledge of contractor compliance systems and workforce management processes
• Previous experience supporting large-scale industrial maintenance and capital project execution
