Business Development

TSG STAFFING SERVICES is currently recruiting for a BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT/SALESPERSON for an opportunity in Sarnia. This contract position requires you to have a reliable source of transportation.

Job Description: 

  • Identifying, assessing and delivering business development opportunities 
  • Directing research activities to identify emerging market opportunities and monitoring competitor activities  
  • Preparation of proposals, reviewing proposal pricing and content, and preparing marketing materials.  
  • Leading business development projects, or key work streams within larger projects, preparation of governance documentation, creating communications and ensuring buy-in from client 
  • Ensuring alliance with the clients corporate strategy as well as ensuring compliance with our clients processes and policies 
  • Assisting with the development of Demand & Supply Planning strategy including industry analysis and preparation of communication documents  
  • Planning and conducting negotiations as required to deliver on objectives and manage high quality, fit-for-purpose valuation models 
  • Managing contributions to appraisals and planning processes 
  • Managing, maintaining and communicating existing, and new industry and commodity knowledge 
  • Maintaining relationships and effectively collaborating with internal and external stakeholders 

Job Requirements: 

  • Proven experience managing projects on time and within budget  
  • 10+ years of experience in Business Development/Sales roles in Industrial or Utility Sectors ideal
  • Knowledge of commercial, economic and business issues relating to the Industrial/Utility industries
  • Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Finance, Management, Science or Engineering and a Postgraduate qualifications such as a MBA Finance or a similar discipline will be strongly preferred 
  • Superior problem solver, highly adept in the execution of strategy, project management, planning and prioritization   
  • Strong commercial acumen including proven experience in mergers, and acquisitions, negotiations, financial modeling and transaction analysis 
  • High proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel
