TSG STAFFING SERVICES is currently recruiting for a DATA ANALYST for a Fort Saskatchewan area-based opportunity to work in an operating plant environment.
Job Description:
- Collect, clean, and analyze operational data from multiple internal systems
- Design, build, and maintain customized Power BI dashboards tailored to plant leadership needs
- Develop clear, visually effective reports that track key performance metrics
- Partner with a team to understand business needs and translate high-level vision into functional dashboards
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability across all reports
- Optimize Power BI models, measures, and visualizations for performance and scalability
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data trends and analysis
- Support additional analytical projects across departments as required
- Hybrid work schedule
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in a related field (data analytics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, information systems, engineering, or business)
- 5–10 years of professional data analysis experience
- Advanced expertise in Microsoft Power BI, including custom dashboard development, data modelling with DAX, and Performance optimization
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, data analysis, data validation)
- Experience working with data from multiple systems and sources
- More IT / technical-focused background preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with a team
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with a willingness to learn and grow under supervision
