Materials Data Administrator

TSG STAFFING SERVICES is currently recruiting for a MATERIALS DATA ADMINISTRATOR for an Edmonton area-based opportunity to work in an office environment.

Job Description:

• Reviewing incoming material data requests for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to defined formatting and data standards
• Checking and validating item details (e.g., descriptions, part numbers, manufacturer information) for errors, missing information, and inconsistencies
• Cleaning and correcting data records to ensure consistency, eliminate duplicates, and maintain standardized formats
• Preparing and updating structured spreadsheets/templates for material record creation and updates
• Working extensively with large Excel datasets to organize, review, and validate information (pivot tables required; Power Query is an asset)
• Ensuring data is entered and maintained in a clear, consistent, and usable format for downstream business use
• Communicating with requestors to clarify missing or incorrect information and improve submission quality
• Providing feedback to ensure data submissions meet required standards
• Supporting ongoing data cleanup and improvement activities across datasets

Job Requirements:

• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
• Strong ability to process high volumes of repetitive work while maintaining consistent quality and speed
• Advanced Excel skills required, including pivot tables; Power Query experience is an asset
• Strong organizational, validation, and structured problem-solving skills
• Ability to confidently identify errors, inconsistencies, and incomplete information
• Comfortable working in highly structured, process-driven environments
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA MM is considered an asset
• Industrial, mining, manufacturing, or heavy equipment experience is considered an asset
• Familiarity with OEM parts such as CAT, Sandvik, or similar manufacturers is an advantage
• Must be willing to complete a short practical task based on real Material Master data scenarios to assess attention to detail, data validation, and ability to work with structured data
